Job Description: Technical Consultant
Location: Kolkata and Bangalore (Remote work from home)
Employment Type: Part-time
Compensation: INR 15,000 per month
Work Hours: 20 hours per week
Study9 is an ed tech startup based out of Kolkata and Bangalore, focused on providing high-quality online education and career guidance to students. We offer a wide range of courses and personalized career consultations to help individuals make informed decisions about their education and future career paths.
As a Technical Consultant at Study9, you will play a vital role in supporting the operations of our online classes and ensuring a smooth learning experience for our students. You will work closely with senior trainers, onboard new trainers, assist in computer lab management, and provide career guidance to our customers.
- Assist senior trainers in conducting online classes:
- Help set up and manage virtual classrooms.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during live sessions.
- Ensure smooth audio and video connectivity.
- Provide technical support to students during classes.
- Onboard new trainers:
- Train and guide new trainers on our virtual classroom software and tools.
- Familiarize them with our teaching methodology and best practices.
- Provide ongoing technical support as they start conducting classes.
- Consult customers on career choices and course selection:
- Understand customers’ goals, interests, and skills.
- Provide personalized guidance on career paths and suitable courses.
- Answer queries related to course content, curriculum, and career prospects.
- Flexible work profile:
- Adapt to the startup culture and be willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Collaborate with different teams and stakeholders to support various aspects of the business.
- Embrace a dynamic work environment and contribute to the growth of Study9.
- Technical expertise:
- Proficiency in using online learning platforms and virtual classroom software.
- Familiarity with audio/video conferencing tools and troubleshooting common issues.
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of operating systems, software installations, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Communication and interpersonal skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with trainers, students, and customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Active listening skills to understand customers’ needs and provide appropriate guidance.
- Problem-solving and multitasking abilities:
- Quick thinking and ability to troubleshoot technical issues during live sessions.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
- Adaptability to changing requirements and a fast-paced work environment.
- Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.) preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as computer lab technician or technical support, is a plus.
Note: This is a part-time position, requiring 20 hours of work per week. Compensation for this role is set at INR 15,000 per month.
