- Project Description: In this hands-on project, participants will design, deploy, and manage a robust and scalable web application on the AWS cloud using various AWS services. The objective is to build an application that can handle high traffic, ensuring performance, availability, and fault tolerance.Project Requirements:
- Web Application Architecture: Design the architecture of the web application, considering factors like load balancing, auto-scaling, and fault tolerance. Utilize AWS best practices to ensure high availability and performance.
- Amazon EC2 and Auto Scaling: Set up an Amazon EC2 instance as a web server and configure auto-scaling to automatically adjust the number of instances based on traffic load.
- Amazon RDS: Use Amazon RDS to set up a relational database to store application data securely.
- Amazon S3: Implement Amazon S3 to store and serve static content such as images, CSS, and JavaScript files, ensuring low-latency access.
- Amazon CloudFront: Integrate Amazon CloudFront to cache and deliver static content, reducing latency and enhancing the user experience.
- Amazon Route 53: Configure Amazon Route 53 to manage DNS and enable high availability and fault tolerance for the application.
- AWS Lambda and API Gateway: Create serverless functions using AWS Lambda to handle backend tasks and expose them through API Gateway for client interaction.
- Amazon CloudWatch: Set up CloudWatch to monitor application performance, resource utilization, and trigger auto-scaling events.
- Amazon SNS and SES: Configure Amazon SNS to send notifications for important events, and use Amazon SES for email notifications.
- Security and Identity: Implement security measures using AWS IAM to manage access control, and utilize AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) for SSL certificates.
- AWS CloudFormation: Define the entire infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation templates, enabling easy replication and versioning.
Project Outcome: Upon completion of this project, participants will have hands-on experience in building a highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and performant web application on AWS. They will have gained valuable insights into designing and deploying complex AWS architectures, making them well-prepared for real-world scenarios as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
